After a long pause for thought, I have settled on a new look for the website. Thanks to Rachel Gibbons for all her efforts setting it up just so. For those who are interested, it is a WordPress theme from Imagely. Rachel says she doesn’t have her own website because she is too busy making other people’s!
At the moment, I only have the gallery relating to my up-coming exhibition live, but other galleries will be added in the near future, themed around landscape types such as ‘woodland’, ‘mountains’ and the like. I find this more valid than a location-centred approach. I try to communicate a moment rather than a place in my photography. The exact spot I was stood when opening the shutter isn’t the main point in most of my images.
Over time, I will add short articles on featured images, location guides and of course new images to the galleries. There is a comments feature in the galleries. If you have something to say about an image and want to share it, please add a comment, or email me via the contact page if you prefer.
My companion blog site A Photographer Afloat is still running. It has a different focus, concentrating on my journeys on the water. If you are interested in the trips as much as the images, please visit!
